Corporate Finance Bonds Issues 8 and 10

Has anyone experienced this:- We invested our Pension with advice from Huntsman Hawkes Managing Director, who despite us asking for flexibility to draw down our money as and when we saw fit placed our money into Corporate Finance bonds which unknown to us were tied up until 2022. This then changed and the bonds were cancelled and picked up by another company and are now called Recovery Bonds. We have since had a letter telling us that the cash from these bonds will not be available until 2027, however we will not be able to cash them as they are not suitable for retail customers, we are struggling to establish if we will ever be able to have the cash from these bonds, but don't really understand where the money has gone as the bonds are still there. It is our understanding that this affects hundreds of people.
Any advice would be most welcome

As long as the transaction was under regulated advice, then you can use the FSCS. If it was not, then the FSCS would not be able to help.
Make sure you find as much information as you can from your files and hold onto the originals and supply copies only.

rimmeg said:@the Rocks64 - just picked up your post from last year and interested to know if you got anywhere with the issue? I'm in similar position and would also appreciate any advice.TheRocks has not visited this forum since January. If you were in a similar position you should make a claim to the FSCS. Whether it succeeds or fails has little to do with what happened to TheRocks.Claiming from the FSCS is a simple process and you should not employ a claims management company (CMC).0
