Mystery Shopping

Hi,
Looking for some advice from those who currently do mystery shopping.
I am being made redundant in a few months and will be doing this to try to make up for some of my lost income. I was a very experienced MSer earning £300-£500 a month but not done anything much since about 2012.
Has the industry changed much since then? I know fees were reducing, is it still worth bothering doing? Average fees for me were £10-£15 a job but I did get paid extra when they needed something urgent doing. Covert work was better, I used to get £30-£50 a job for that but there wasn't much around.
I used to work for ESA, TNS and Cybershoppers mainly, what are the best companies at the moment for amount of work and fees?
Thanks,
David

It had greatly reduced before COVID and now it's even worse both in fees and amount of work available.
TNS got out of mystery shopping years ago. If by covert you mean video mystery shopping then that is still paying more but I don't do it so you'll have to do your own research. I think most companies have an online presence so it's the old advice of signing up for as many as you can to see what ones work best for you or maybe ringing them to see what types of market research they do. I would also look into merchandising or fieldwork like price checking / audits.0
