Full and final settlement offer - information requested

I have written to several businesses who have purchased my debt from credit card companies and offered them full and final settlement offers as my mother has offered to make some money available to me to assist.
They are now asking the below:
Do they funds have to be paid back and is there any interest or charges related to this money from my mother?
My mum and me have not ironed out these details yet, but she wants to help me in the best way possible. Does anyone know what the best way to do this is so that the Lowell or other debt agencies accept the funds as full and final settlement and do not refuse the money?
