Bugs in flour

Just discovered small mites in a newly opened bag of flour stored in cupboard since early in lockdown. Any way of killing them , ie heating oven to make it usable? Hate wasting food if there,s a way of rescuing it. No idea where they came from. Most products in this cupboard are in tins or sealed containers Any thoughts or…

Another fan of lock and lock boxes. Most of my stores are in various sizes of lock and lock boxes although flour are in the kilner clip type jars with a rubber gasket. Only time I've had a problem with bugs in flour was when I stored it in an old ice cream tub which was when I changed to the glass ones. Lock and lock weren't around then!
