Later life mortgage

Living in Spain but moving back to Uk by Oct, retired,  68 trying to find a later life/retirement mortgage, have a 70% approx deposit but those Bld Soc I have contacted you need to be living in Uk for set amount of time, I also had one that asked me where I would fund the deposit from and when I said sale of house in Spain said we could not get a mortgage with them, unbelievable, where did they think I would get funds from, that was an ExPat Mortgage (Ipswich), it's difficult contacting from UK , tried Nationwide but cannot get through, have over £30,000 pension per annum and no debts we both have small drawdown pensions as well but not drawing on them at the moment.We could in theory fund nearly all house with cash but want to hold some back from house sale.

I would suggest finding a good broker and let them do the work for you from the UK.

There are several who post on this group, they make it clear they are brokers at the bottom of their posts, just message one of them as they are not allowed to approach you directly.
