Mortgage missing from my credit file

Hi Everyone, I have also posted about this issue on the crefit report thread and would be grateful for any advice.
My 2 year fixed term mortgag with HSBC ends this month. HSBC has failed to add the mortgage to my credit file. Credit file is good on some and fair in others, so I have been trying to improve it by getting HSBC to amend my record. Been trying since June and despite many phone calls and emails, they have 2 months later, still not added it. Ironically/frustratingly, they have confirmed that not having their mortgage on my file may impact on their decision to approve a new mortgage from them. I am running out if time to get a good deal. At their suggestion, I have triggered the complaints process but found this adds another layer of beurocracy and delay. They reply in an ad-hoc way, if at all. They are really pleasant but ineffectual, and my deadline for renewing is less than 2 weeks away. Any advice? Similar experiences?
Thanks
