Astro Turf

We are just getting our garden looking nice and were going to have a new lawn laid but we have since got a female dog and she has burnt the grass all over, so it now looks a mess. There isn't anyway we can stop her going on the lawn and I don't want to partition an area off as I like how the garden flows.

Now, we were joking the other night about getting some astro turf to use as grass. It started off as a joke but is there any reason why we coulnd't use it? Just think, no more cutting of the grass, no more daisys coming up and no brown patches where the dog has weed.

Can the general public purchase astro turf, where would we get it from and is it expensive?
