No, I don't think so. I hate this new forum, it's not nearly so user friendly as the old one. I have been on these boards since 2006, but was unable to log into the new board because I had long ago changed my email address and hadn't had to use my password for years so had completely forgotten it. I asked for help, but never got a reply. You might have to do what I did and start from scratch again.

The new forum sucks in so many ways - I'll probably be told "sucks" is hate speech!. It used to be so helpful, now all you get from people is links to other sites as an answer and a telling off for not being pc enough!
Oh, and before anyone starts tapping to give me a telling me off  - yes, I do realise this is an old post, but I think it's still relevant for people to answer old posts as people google subjects, not dates & they can still get useful information.

I think you`ll find, on these boards anyway, you get quite a helpful response, we try and give constructive answers to questions, without any judgement, and as for being PC, well I`m olde skhool, so that can`t apply to me lol.

I think you can often get better advice here than from a mainstream adviser because we aren't so constrained.

I do often post links to factsheets like the National Debtline ones as they are very good.

I'm not a fan of the new format but you learn to live with changes.

It's a pretty unfair accusation to suggest that help and support is in short supply on the DFW board!

I'd also point out that everyone here is giving their help and advice in their own time and free of charge. Surely, rather than typing (or 'tapping') huge screeds of information (I'm guilty of waffling on myself) it's better to post a link to a reputable source of information and perhaps real life support which some posters may need? People can always come back after reading a link and ask for explanations of anything they don't understand.

As to being PC, it's generally true that if you treat others with the respect with which you'd like to be treated, you won't go far wrong.
