Mortgage Reflection

On a mortgage offer, where it says that I have a 7 day reflection period on which to withdraw, but that the offer is valid until January 2021, what does this actually mean?
Do I have to physically send something back or speak to them and tell them I intent on proceeding? Or does it just stay valid until January 2021 and my solicitor just applies for funds whenever I complete? 

Just concerned if I don't do anything within 7 days the offer might be withdrawn or something?

The reflection period is just a 7 day window where no one should be contacting you to discuss the mortgage and you have time to read and digest everything and make a decision if you are still happy to proceed. Nothing to worry about!

With my offer I had to sign and return a copy of the offer to accept it, so double check yours doesn't have something similar (possibly not due to Covid).

Also, read the terms and every bit of paperwork carefully, it answers a lot of questions you will have between now and making your first mortgage payment.
