@EMJ_87  horrible waiting on a decision have to say since changing MA and going with Santander it’s been an easier process, although nail biting at time.
Previous MA apparently got us AIP June 20th then applied but by end of July no contact by her only one telling us she was struggling to get an affordable mortgage for us. Worrying we would lose our forever home we changed MAs and within 18 days of applying we had letter in hand with confirmation offer .
    Good Luck
  • Applied directly on the 14th and uploaded all documents requested, Hard checks done and showing on Experian.
Gave them a call today as it said there would be an update in the tracker in 3 working days The agent on the phone said someone will give me a call tomorrow to chat about the application in general ( not a clue ) hopefully will be a good update.
The tracker still says Your documents and application are being reviewed
  • Applied via a broker on 11th August. Had an email from the broker on Saturday  saying that the mortgage was offered subject to valuation. Then this morning had a text and email from Santander saying that the offer has been issued. They did a desktop valuation for me. 9 working days from application to offer being issued.

@hannah2283. We were told last Monday physical valuation to be done 27th , offer subject to Valuation and then in post Friday was Mortgage Offer.  Must have decided on desktop valuation after all
  • Our MA is not very forthcoming with updates. Our survey was done last Wednesday so assume we would have heard something by now which is worry me slightly. On the Santander intermediaries site it says they are reviewing applications sent to their underwriters on the 12th and ours was sent on the 11th. Stressing as we had issues with Nationwide and hoping we don’t have this again! Can’t even track the application online

Have you considered calling Santander for an update? Just to see if anything is outstanding? I called yesterday and they confirmed nothing else had been requested to hold things up.

I’m still very jealous of all of you who have had quick turn arounds. I submitted my last documents on 20th August and the intermediary site says they are reviewing support docs from 17th August (it was 15th August yesterday evening), surely they catch up with stuff by the end of the week. I’m just completely baffled because we are a straight forward application, no adverse credit history, not on furlough, been in our jobs years and years, excellent affordability! Really hoping for a decision by end of this week or else that’s my bank holiday weekend ruined lol
  • Those timescales and updates on the site are great but no accurate or specific to your application which is annoying. NatWest seen you have a good tracking system. I wish Santander would have the same. Our application was submitted on the 11th. Hoping to hear something this weekend before the long weekend!

Oh great loool I was using those timings as some indication of response time. Well I hope you get a response soon, we submitted ours in July and we are still waiting, probably a broker issue by the looks of things.
