I'm umming about putting on the studded tyres, around 2C this morning and a few spots of frost obvious, a cold winter would just sum up 2020!
I have got some. I have a different bike with them on. They have high resistance so they would be hard work to pedal every day if the temperature wasn't low. I still fell off last year trying to cycle across solid ice. I feel happier cycling in frosty conditions. Fresh snow is OK too. I use them if the forecast is 4 degrees or lower.

I can mount them on a separate set of wheels - downside is I have been waiting 2 months for Fulcrum to send a spoke to my LBS to fix up the wheel I have so could only swap one wheel in at the moment. I use 35c marathon plus at the moment on the CX with dics so it's heavy anyway, extra bit of resistance isn't going to matter much. Will stick to roads if bike lanes are not gritted
