The perfect substitution?
Options
I ordered ASDA 15 Mixed Weight Free Range Eggs 15pk. This was substituted for ASDA 15 Mixed Weight Free Range Eggs 15pk.
My question is, as the ASDA 15 Mixed Weight Free Range Eggs 15pk I ordered wasn't on the shelf when my order was picked, then where did the order picker get the ASDA 15 Mixed Weight Free Range Eggs 15pk I received from?

Nicked them from someone else's order.0

It's possible they have multiple versions of what is essentially the same product (e.g. eggs that come from different suppliers might have been set up with different barcodes). The system only lets you order the version with barcode A, so if the picker selects and scans the version with barcode B, it shows up as a substitution although to all intents and purposes it's the same thing.4

Morrisons sneaks in more subs eg semi-skimmed Lactofree for whole milk Lactofree and driver claimed it wasn't a sub. Told him to take it back.
I have noticed that when some supermarkets label something as New, it often means that it's back in stock or the pack design has been changed.0
