First Trust bank / AIB - experience?

Has anyone used First Trust, now AIB? I can't find much about them on the forums. Trustpilot reviews are poor but reading them some reasons seem a bit questionable (long call times during covid, wouldn't offer a mortgage etc)

bump - I see them popping up top of a lot of best buys in mortgages but not seeing many reviews about them recently.0

What did you end up doing?
Same as AgentOso1, they seem to offer the best products for a mortgage- but I haven't heard much about them (apart from bad consumer service)0 -
Same thoughts - never heard of them, but they seem to have very good rates comparatively.0

Family member applied for a £110K , after 4 weeks of waiting was told the other day that they would not lend him the money 'cause they had raised the minimum loan to £150K, despite their website still (as of 6th November 2020) showing minimum loan amount of £65K for mortgages with Cashback, or £25K. He was also told that if it was any consolation he had passed all checks, and should be able to get a mortgage elsewhere. Four weeks, in the current environment, totally wasted!0
