Anyone used or heard of Lectronics.co.uk ???

http://www.lectronics.co.uk/

There is a mobile phone I have been thinking of getting from this website (cheaper than anywhere else) and just wondering if anyone has used "Lectronics" before as I personally haven't heard of them until now.

Any info on them would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Shaun

  • I came across this site also - haven't seen any bad feedback but there is no contact address or phone number, even if you look at their domain name the address is withheld which raises suspicions, I can't think of any reason why a reputable Company would not publish contact information, as I understand it addresses should not be withheld for trading organisations (for domain registration).

I've had problems with Companies who do publish address information, I'd be very cautious though about those who don't!

They may be perfectly fine, and the price of the item I was looking at looked reasonable, come on guys though if there's nothing to hide publish contact information.

Note, if you use PayPal for the purchase though you do get added protection and they will look into any issues that arise.
  • Contacted nominet who very quickly updated their records to reveal a contact address, did a quick search on this address and another business did come up with different trading name, import / export business.

Personally though I always check now first for contact information (in case anything goes wrong) which should include a UK postal address and land line phone number before even considering purchasing from a business online, you don't know, it may be perfectly ok, the problem is who to contact if something goes wrong, you tend to find emails get ignored...
  • Short answer, avoid them.
