Porting over existing mortgage

Have 5 yr fixed deal with NW until 2023. Early redemption fee is £6k. Selling property - was previously (pre pandemic) told I could port over mortgage to new property fairly easily. Bank now saying they need evidence of binding agreement from ex re monthly maintenance payments which will start when I move out of family home. We don’t have a court order as it’s a private arrangement. I have no other income currently but may be able to claim benefits short term after I move. Will ultimately be looking for a job again after that. Mortgage I need is £55k and existing one is £157k. It’s gone to underwriter again but time is not in my side and I need to sort it ASAP.
Anyone any help or advice?!

Private arrangements can be broken without consequence. Formalising the finances on divorce are always advisable. People can soon change their spots as their personal changes.0

Totally agree. Problem is time. It’s likely to take a few months to get a court order. I just don’t have that option at the moment.0
