The wait is killing me! We received a AIP 3 weeks ago and our full application was submitted the same day. The surveyor came out on Wednesday and now we are just waiting with fingers crossed for an offer. I have the awful feeling something will go wrong 😩.
We’ve taken it as a good omen that they sent out the surveyor?!
Has anyone else applied with post office/bank of Ireland? How long did it take?

PO/Bank of Ireland are quite a good financial services provider. I wouldn't worry too much. Even if the surveyor finds problems, this is not uncommon; most houses have a few issues. You can come back here for advice if any of the problems seem serious. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

Hi,
do you have an update? We’re you approved? I’m currently waiting for an offer, the valuation was completed on the 28th. Feeling rather anxious! Thanks0 -

Yes we got approved although the valuation came back lower than we expected but I think that is happening quite a lot at the mo.Good luck x0 -

We've got an application with the post office currently for a 90% LTV mortgage. It looks like the valuation took place 30/09. Our broker advised us it looks like our case is with the underwriters. How long did it take from valuation to offer?I’m also slightly concerned if the property is valued lower than what we have agreed on as we don’t have the funds to top up the difference. Did you have to make up the different because the valuation was lower?Any information would be awesome

We are buying the house off my in-laws so we had to have a bit of an awkward conversation but they agreed to take the lower offer. Good for us but it’s made us feel really bad 😕.1 -

Good for us but it’s made us feel really bad 😕.Just crossing my fingers now on a response. Did you have to provide any further evidence/documents or was the acceptance/offer straight forward apart from the valuation coming in lower than the agreed price?
