Food processor, which one and are they worth it?

Hey everyone
So I bought an old Kenwood mixer and whilst hoping that’d transform my cooking repertoire, it was a bit dirty and I never really took to it. Plus it only really did mixing so was quite limited. I know you can get the attachment for a processor but it looks pretty small.

So looking to move that on and get a food processor instead. I’ve not convinced myself yet on whether it’s worth it. I assume they’re more versatile so I’d use it. Plus looking at getting it new so won’t have previous issues. Question is, are they worth it? I’m hoping it’ll get me eating more veg as it makes the prep easier. Plus I assume you can get mixer attachments too? blender would be good too as we’d use it to make iced coffee. So it’ll pay for itself through avoiding Starbucks anyway.
If you’re pro food processor. Which brand would you go for? We are a family of 5 so need a larger one. They all look different from what I’m used to seeing. Hoping not to spend a small fortune. Certainly sub £300 if it can be helped.
Thanks

I have a Kenwood food processor and im very disappointed it.
the blades are flimsy and and not well made, any firm pressure such as trying to grate a root vegetable finely, they buckle or separate at the centre hole.
first time i put it down to bad luck or user incompetence and replaced the blade but its happened again.
i want to be able to grate things like celeriac and carrot on the fine blade.
im thinking ill have to buy a Cuisinart model.Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
Not within your budget unfortunately OP but Kitchenaids are so worth it. You can then buy the attachments that you actually use. I have the pasta attachments, food processor, mincer.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
