Good afternoon all, I have applied for a shared ownership mortgage with Barclays with 15% LTV. How likely is that they will do a desktop evaluation? Thanks

is it 15% ltv on your share? or 15% on the whole value? Is it a new build?0

It’s 15% LTV of the share I’m buying (30% of £482,500 which is £144,750, and I’m putting down £21,715 towards the deposit). It’s a new build indeed.0

So it's not 15% ltv. It's 85% ltv (15% deposit)
If it was 15% it definitely would have been desktop. Otherwise barclays don't have any real rules on it. I've had 95% done desktop from them prior to lockdown, and plenty low ltv physicals. The broker application system should tell if it's a desktop or physical valuation. Ours says 'physical valuation required' on one of the tabs.

Direct use the old system that we used to use. Horrible system but still had the same info. Shouldn't take more than a minute for the info to be given0
