Hi
I have for the last few weeks been getting calls on my phone from a company called Capital Resolve, (it is already programmed into my phone and comes up as potential fraud / spam) I have checked my credit file and everything seems fine, these calls can be up to 4 a day and are really causing me some stress and anxiety, I have had no written notifications of any debt and no written correspondence from the company themselves. Can anyone advise me on what to do, I ignore the calls but as they ring up to 4 times it's being to get tedious and frustrating.

it could be an old debt that no longer shows on credit file but has been bought.

2 choices. answer phone and tell them to write to you, as you don't discuss things over the phone. Have you moved in last 6 years?

    2.  block numbers and ignore

    Hi,
I`ve moved your post to the DFW board for more help.
If Capital resolve ever write to you, which they probebley will eventually, then that will set out the reasons why they are contacting you.
Old debts are bought in bulk, It could be an old card debt, loan, payday loan, utility bill, parking fine, anything, you only need to respond when someone writes to you, calls, texts emails etc can all be ignored.

If they do write to you, respond with the "provit letter" available from the sticky section on this board.
Best to stick to written comms only, then you have a papertrail, block numbers if it helps.

Agree with the above. It seems that they only have a phone number so it may not even be you they are trying to contact.
    Block them if you can.
