I know I've never had a VIP slot, and again this time round, didn't know whether it might be due to the fact that I don't get a directory ?

I find that because of these sales that I'm really reluctant to buy the stuff at full price because I know it'll be half price at sale time. This actually stops me buying stuff at full price! I was tempted to gt my little girl a dress to wear on christmas day which was £26 but I couldn't bring myself to do it when I saw it on the sale list for £12.

I know how you feel, DD was going into hospital a few weeks ago as it was at short notice I didn't have time to shop around so just popped into my local next store, now two weeks later the items are in the sale half-price :eek:

I have had an invite most times apart from last xmas and I think that was only cos I didn't have a lot of spare credit left, but I do order a lot of things full price and try to pay off my account quickly so I don't think it's really a random thing. I even got a preview catelogue for the new 2008 Spring/summer catalgoue this year and that was due to my account being at £0 I think! Am not going to go mad this year but there are a few things I hope are still there when I log in at 6.30!

I'm sooo jealous of all of you ladies with VIP slots [insert stamping foot like a bratty child smiley here]!

I've not been lucky enough to become a VIP, wonder if it's got anything to do with the fact that I only ever order at sale times???

Last summer I managed to order sale stuff for my 2 little ones using the loophole but I'm not holding out much hope this time round. I can't see how it'll work with the new way Next are doing the slots.

To add insult to injury there's some stuff in the sale this time from the homeware section that I've been after for 12 months now for my baby boy's bedroom! I was hoping it would have been in the last sale but no such luck. It's actually less then half price too! I've got everything crossed that there will be someway us non VIPs (haha NVIPs) to order but I'm not very optimistic!

i just called as i have always had a vip slot but since i started working for them i dont get one anymore but i dont get to pick up much not allowed to as its for the customers!! they just gave me a slot there and then got to just call them at my allotted time!hth

I just wondered how stuff is disappearing already if the Vip slots dont start until 6?

I am a bit of a newbie at being a VIP so I apoligise in advance if that is a silly question

I have my slot for 22.30 tonight, i do hope I can get a couple of things I am looking for. (My list is short, same as my funds!) so no worries of me taking all the goodies :rolleyes:

The last preview I got was for the winter coats. I like the previews for the main catalogues but am not sure how you get them. Think it is on how much you spend.

One of the posters here said that they are a Next courier and get a VIP slot before the rest of us do. That could explain why somethings are gone.

Do you think that if a certain range in homeware (chidren's bedroom stuff) is going to be in the sale then it'll be discontinued?

This stuff has been in the catologue for 12 months at least. I'm considering just buying at full price otherwise we might not get it at all.

We always seem to get a VIP slot, so not sure how its random. I order loads from the directory but most of it goes back as I order multiple sizes etc. We almost always pay off balance when statement comes but that is because we dont get that much. We have available credit of £3550 so not sure if any of these things go towards VIP allocations??????????

It could be. A few years ago I bought some of the Hudson range of furniture and in the summer this was all in the sale and it was then discontinued.
