My wife just got an email from them saying she wouldn't be invited

someone tried that on last year saying they had an invite when they hadnt. why would they email to say shes not invited? im never invited but then never get an email to say im not

My wife sent them an email asking if she could apply for a VIP slot, she got this email back.

"Dear Ms XXXXXX,

Thank you for your email regarding the Internet VIP sale.

I am sorry you did not receive an invitation to place a VIP sale order on the Internet.

I can confirm that customers were selected at random to place their order. I am sorry you were not selected this season.

Customers can register their interest in being invited to the Internet sale by logging onto next.co.uk, then selecting "my account". This will display a page showing your registered email address and a selection of 4 email preferences.

To ensure you are considered for selection for future Internet sales, you will need to place a tick in the box of "send me emails of offers and promotions" and "confirm my orders by email".

Although I cannot guarantee you will automatically be selected for our next VIP Internet sale, this will however update our records to show that you wish to be invited for any future Internet events.

Once again, I am sorry for any disappointment this may have caused.

This is the link to VIP sale to register for your slot. Its not working at the moment but as soon as the invites are sent out it will. I managed to register last time before i received an email. I think i will only work if your on the invite list though.

just phoned next and was told the vip invites were coming out "about now" so keep eyes peeled. Maybe someone else can phone and see if they can get any more info

The last day for posting before Christmas is a week on Saturday, previously it has been the day after that that the VIP slots are given out - should be the Sunday before Christmas.

surley the vip invites will be out before that thats only 2 days before xmas,not giving much time for time slots and orders to be taken
