Jeepers this is a nightmare isnt it! I wasnt gonna get involved in the next sale this winter but it somehow overtakes you!
I have a vip slot for 6pm sat. But going on hols 28th Dec. Slightly perturbed by previous comment that said nothing would be delivered before 28th. Should I order my stuff now (full price) and then order again at sale price in my slot and return the full price stuff? Would that be wrong?

    How would that help though?

If the full price stuff was worn you wouldn't be able to return it. In the stores the sale stuff is marked (usually with a permanent marker on the inside label - well thats what it was like when I worked there a few years ago in a store)... so you wouldn't be able to return the sale stuff as if it was full price stuff. I presume the sale stuff off the net is marked like the stuff in the store.

You'd be left with 2 lots of stuff and the only ones you could return would be the sale price stuff.

Hi, yes I get what you are saying, but the last lot of sale stuff I ordered arrived without any marks to identify it as sale goods. Plus last Christmas my order definately arrived pre xmas, as I remember wrapping half the stuff for prezzies!! So, I suppose what I am really asking is, if the items arent sent out until after xmas will they be marked with big red x's or whatever to designate them as sale goods. Does that make sense?:money:
  • It's only the instore items which get "marked" as sale stock - anything u get online has normal tags & no red marks on label so u should be fine
  • I've managed to use the link and get into my account but is there somewhere that you click to select a slot for the sale?

Actually, now that I've just used the same link again http://www.next.co.uk/vipsale it now takes me to the sale list rather than the vip invite page. Whats going on?

When you log into your account, on the right hand side menu (where it says make a payment etc...) there is a link to VIP Sale if (and only IF) you have been selected for an invite.

basically, Next has massively upped the security around the VIP sale from the looks of it. Plus, from the indications of how the sale is organised, you only get teh discounted prices if you log in and then click through your vip sale link, so I wouldn't be suprised if the codes WEREN'T different at all - this way, they only give the discounted prices to the VIP invited and no-one can order at sale price until the main sale starts.
  • hi, i also managed to book a vip slot thanks to the advice on here, mine says it is 18.30hrs.
  • Not got one :(

My account has only had about £20 sent (and cleared on it) and OHs was late in being paid (had a red bill yesterday - payment was made and direct debit set up on mon) :o

Oh well.... if the sale is 27th then I might get up early for the first time and see what I can pick up instore for my Daughter.... and our home - need cuttlery and dinner plates. Is it usually manic on retail park stores at 6am ish?
