HSBC Mortgage application

Hello everyone,
Me and my partner are using a broker and she is in the process of trying to submit our application to HSBC.
We are second time buyers with a 90% ltv.
She has been trying for over a week just to even submit our application but as there is a limit on daily entries, no success.
I was just wondering if anyone has been in this situation recently and how long it took to have a successful application?
Thank you for reading!

Our poor broker tried for 4 weeks with no luck. After 2 weeks we went direct and had an appointment booked (which I had today). I would recommend to go direct and have the broker keep trying in the background. Best of luck 😊BekahLeaDee said:Hello everyone,

We went direct ourselves, no advice route for a second home mortgage. We knew what product we wanted and went ahead with a DIP first then full application. We did had some teething problems with the online application and was calling up HSBC daily, we got our offer in less than 10 days.
You could also go direct but with advice, but will need to book an appointment with a mortgage advisor. I’ve read from other posters here that some managed to get an on the spot offer subject to valuation. HSBC does a hard credit search on application and if you have a straight forward application, you could be one of those that get “auto-approved” with manual underwriting.0
