Is there any underwriters on this forum? :)

Hello,

Is there any underwriters on this forum? I have a question on a mortgage application if you don’t mind helping

I am with a broker and they advised to go with Leeds as we fit their criteria.

when starting with the broker I said I am increasing my hours at work and he said we can use that salary. When I calulated my new salary with my new hours I miscalculated and that miscalculation went onto my Leeds mortgage application form . When I got my new amended contract from work it stated my new annual salary was more then What was onmy application form.

I sent in a letter from my employer along with my new amended contract.

anyway Leeds passed us on affordability and we passed the initial checks. In the underwriting process they could see conflicting info on my application form to what was written on the employer letter. So they have asked for my August pay slip. Which I will be sending them on 24th August.

Leeds have both mine and my partners bank statements, 3 months. Payslips, My partners return to work letter,(as she was on furlough)  my employers letter, the MOS, the signed declaration, and proof of savings.

My question is are they just waiting for my August pay slip to just confirm that I am getting the correct amount I am stating I will be getting?

also do you think once this is received that an offer will be issued? As from what they have above I can’t think of anything else they could ask for lol

and do you think if they were not happy and thought we was a high risk they would have declined us by now?

Our full application went in on 10th July so i hope it’s just them waiting for my August pay slip then finial underwriting?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated:)

thank you

What one underwriter will accept, may not be the same as another.

It's standard to see a payslip to demonstrate salary, especially where a payrise is involved.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

A letter provided by yourself is not independent evidence of the change.

Your August Payslip will flush this issue out of the application.
When pay rises occur some lenders will work on notification of that change, some ask to see the first wage slip on the new rate, some ask to see the bank statements showing the first increased payment.
