Your finance pays you (or the dealer directly) and that’s that. I guess they could refuse to take payments from
third parities in which case your finance needs to pay you and you’re effectively a cash purchaser as far as the dealer is concerned.

Just my tuppence worth....as a cash buyer id be looking for a good price and some freebies as well...I always believe in a bit of movement for cash, plus there’s quite a few car sales places will source the identical vehicle for you, usually cheaper too.
No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere
  • Done this myself. You are a cash buyer to the car showroom and have a loan with a bank. Both separate agreements. Car showroom does not need to know where you get your money from.

    I totally agree.

I agree also, or at least, that is how we would reasonably think it would work.  Unfortunately, car salespersons are no longer just that and quite often get their commission through selling finance.  This is perverted even further by the manufacturer offering incentives with some packages that make it cheaper overall to buy on finance and then settle early.  All crazy, but that is the modern world :(.

hes concerned about his bonus on selling finance
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
