    Well it’s been a few days since I last posted. The last couple of days have been a bit stressful. I have got a last minute booking to have a procedure next Thursday in hospital. Very relieved as been waiting 6 months to have it done, last one got cancelled because of Covid (and having symptons for over a year)  Due to this I have to have a Covid test 72 hrs beforehand-it’s the logistics of juggling childcare for 4 children as DH can’t take anymore time off work. I’m trying to get my head around that there’s under 2 weeks left of the holidays. I’m not sure where the last 5 months have gone. Part of me is relieved but also anxious (3 older DS’s have additional needs and conditions my 5 year old is repeating Reception again due to GDD) how they’ll cope  :s  Anyway enough of dumping my random thoughts.Back to MSE things.
    Wednesday
    * DH bought more free food home (pizza, 2 packs of sweet chilli pork chops) put in freezer for another day.
    *  I was gifted a pair of new cropped jeans.
    * Used up a tin of apricot halves and made a GF and DF crumble. Used up DF cheese and a random tin of tomatoes and made GF homemade pizza.
    * cut my hair
    * NSD
    * completed all surveys
    * dried washing on airers
    * listed 2 things to sell on FB market place and 1 on eb@y
    * sold something on eb@y
    * cashed out £5 p@ypal from LP
    Thursday
    * sent a £75 mortgage OP
    * sold school logo jumper that was on FB marketplace
    * cashed out £5 p@ypal on sw@gbucks
    * listed 3 more items for sale.
    * treated Ds 3&4 to drink and cake in cafe and got 25% off. It felt such a treat and much needed downtime (I thoroughly enjoyed my latte and cake)  :)
    * bought several items of food that were needed and were on the cashback apps (Receipts all submitted and scanned on receipt apps).
    Today
    * DH’s payday so sent a £100 mortgage OP
    * 5 items on eb@y have bids on
    * completed all surveys including 1500 point one on LP- cashed in and redeemed £15 p@ypal
    * cashed out £5 amaz0n voucher from I-$@y
    * received £5 p@ypal from LP, 75p cashback from sh0pmium and £1.06 from sold item- will update targets in a minute  :)
    * not a NSD as DH did weekly shop spending £118/£150 grocery budget.
    * think I have managed to find a childminder for DS4 for six weeks until October half term. He is entitled to 15 free hours childcare a week from September.

    Targets
    H2B Regular Savings Pot: £15.50/£100
    My contribution to OP’s: £15.52/£100

    Have a good evening all x

    Evening everyone.

    Last couple have not been NSD’s. I spent £25.20 on 2 pairs of curtains from W@yfair. I bought them from their ‘open box’ clearance section. I could have bought them from the main sales page but they were £55 a pair  :o  These curtains are the first in a long list of furniture/things needed to transform our house from 3 bedroom/3 reception room house into a 4 bedroom/2 reception room home. Three of the bedrooms need to be decorated and furniture replaced and purchased to make this happen. But in order to keep up with the mortgage OP’s and H2B loan savings to clear both by Nov 2023 it leaves a very minimal budget to renovate/decorate. I’m not one to shy away from a challenge, so I’m setting myself a £250 challenge to decorate and furnish all rooms. I’m really excited about this challenge and have a few ideas up my sleeve to help me along  :):smile:

    I have made a combined grand overpayment of £12.57 made up of (£1.57 TT, £2.00 left over from fuel budget and £9.00 from half of me selling 2 items on FB for £18.00)

    MSE Things
    *Sold 2 items on FB marketplace for £18.00
    * Received £5 p@ypal from sw@gbucks
    * Listed 4 more items on FB and eb@y
    * Completed all surveys

    Targets
    H2B Regular Savings Pot: £27.00/£100
    My mortgage OP contribution: £27.02/£100
    Transforming house fund £25.20/£250
     Have a good evening all.

    Evening everyone,
    Unfortunately, one of the two sets of curtains I ordered got cancelled and refunded, so I decided to cancel the other set as I need them all too match. On the bright side, I ordered two more pairs for £14.49 saving a further £10.71. Yesterday was a NSD. I have sent another £25 from CA. I also received £5 p@ypal from LP and £3.37 from a cashback grocery app. These amounts have been split between my two savings pots.
    Up to date Targets
    H2B Regular Savings Pot: £31.19/£100
    My mortgage OP contribution £31.20/£100
    Transforming house fund: £14.49/£250.00- saved a further £10.71  :)
    Have a good evening all x

    Ooh at least you ended up with even cheaper curtains lol!

    I can’t even begin to consider NSD this month. I need to go and get more uniform stuff for DD1&2 today and poor DS gets the cheapest scraps as he’s 6 so I can get away with it. Hopefully when they are in school I can try and have a few NSD but it still doesn’t work out as DP is a stay at home dad and his hobby seems to be spending money.

    You’re doing well with your savings and OP, how do you decide how much goes into each pot?
    Mortgage started August 2020 £69,700
    Mortgage ends Aug 2050 MFW: Aug 2027
    Current Balance: £60,200 (59.9% LTV)
    MFW2020 #156 £723.13
    MFW2021 #26 £1184.71
    MFW2022 #11 £197.87
    MFW2023 £785
    MFW 2024 £528.15

    Determined to make it!

    Thanks FtbDreaming for dropping by.

    I have a bit of complicated system. So any left over income I try and split in 50/25/25% (50% to OP mortgage, 25% to CC and 25% to savings. Once CC is gone this month I’ll split 75% OP’s and 25% savings. And for any earnings I get from cashback, selling things and surveys I split 50/50 between my overpayment pot and my H2B savings pot. I hope that makes sense.

    Off to look for your diary after updating  :)
