Hi Forumites,

Help needed please. Has anyone here heard of a company called Deege solar?

I was searching for solar panels and this company's feed popped up on my facebook wall as sponsored/recommended.

The deal was "4kW solar system + battery storage for £6500". No details provided on type of panels or battery. The price looks quite competitive comparing against some of the quotes here. Hence asking for your views, before i contact them.

I have previously had TP solar install a 4kW system at my old home, but that company is no longer in business.

Thanks, CT

3.84kW PV system - 16 panels of Sharp ND-R240A2 facing SE with SMA 4000TL inverter, Geo II monitor and Solar iBoost. All in the historic, grand old city of Milton Keynes.

It really depends on how big the battery is; although I suspect the battery would not be cost effective under most circumstances. Ideally you'd get the PV array for around £4k. If you can find a smaller operator willing to work without scaffolding then you can keep costs low. For comparison my 3.42kWp array cost £4150 in 2017.

As this is a money saving site, could you explain how this saves?........"£6,500" buys a lot of electricity without the risks of the costs of maintenance and repairs..._
