There are two sets of Terms & Conditions you are agreeing to:

 

1. The online competition
2. The on-air competition
   

 

By agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, you are agreeing to the Terms & Conditions for each competition you choose to enter. For example, if you only enter the online competition during the competition period, then only the online competition terms and condition will apply to your personal circumstances.

The online competition

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Win £1,000 thanks to Gumtree and Magic Radio” or (“the online Competition”). These specific terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

 

1.       ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS

 

                i.            Entries are restricted to one entry per household.

 

               ii.            The only way to be in the draw to win the online prize is:

2.       COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

 

2.1 HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS (“the competition mechanic”)

 

                i.            Complete the competition entry form on the online competition page during the entry period.

 

2.2 HOW TO WIN

 

           i.            One winner will be selected by random electronic draw.

           ii.         The winner will be contacted by a Bauer Media representative to claim their prize. If after 21 days the winner has not contacted Bauer Media to confirm their details, Bauer Media will select a new winner.

           iii.            The winner must fulfil all eligibility criteria (See 4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS)

 

 3.       ENTRY PERIOD

 

Entries for the online competition will be open from 00:01am on Wednesday 12th August 2020 (the “start date”) until 23:59pm on Friday 21st August 2020 (the “end date”).

 

 4.       ENTRY RESTRICTIONS

 

Entrants to the on-air and the online competition must fulfil all competition the specific terms and conditions mentioned below, in addition to Bauer Media’s Competition General Terms & Condition:

   ii.            Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.

 

 iii.            Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

 

 iv.            We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

 

v.            If anyone has won a competition on any Bauer Media brand (see iv below) to the value of £500 or more in the past 6 months, they or any person at the winning address will not be eligible to win the competition. Winning the on-air competition will trigger this condition for the online competition.

5.       THE PRIZE

 

                i.            The prize value is £1,000 cash

               ii.            The winner must fulfil all eligibility and entry terms and conditions.

             iii.            The prize money will be sent to each winner as a bank transfer or as a cheque.

             iv.            Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no alternative will be offered.

 

6.       OTHER CONDITIONS

 

6.1 DATA PROTECTION.

Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider,) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 6.2 INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS.

By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

6.3 MISCELLANEOUS.

         i.            Entries that don’t comply with these terms won’t be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you’ve breached them.

        ii.            Participants may only enter once

      iii.            If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.

      iv.            The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win.

        v.            We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

      vi.            You are responsible for all costs of entry.

     vii.            You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.

   viii.            Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.

      ix.            As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition / the Prize.

        x.            We may cancel / amend / end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.

1.       ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS

 2.       COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

 

2.1 HOW THE COMPETITION WORKS (“the competition mechanic”)

 

2.1.1 The Competition Mechanic will air during the Breakfast Show (“the Show”) between 6am and 10am, Monday 17th August to Friday 21st August.

 

                i.            Online pre-registration for the competition will close on Wednesday 19th August at 23:59.

               ii.            A shortlist of contestants will be selected at random to play each day and contacted using the contact details provided.

             iii.            Being contacted and/or shortlisted does not guarantee the participant will be invited to play the on-air game.

             iv.            If the shortlisted participant is invited to play the on-air game, they will be expected to follow the technical instructions given to them by the Magic Radio production team in order to come on the radio, speak with the Magic  Radio presenters and take part in the on-air game.

               v.            In the event that the shortlisted participant is unable to follow the technical instructions, the Magic Radio production team reserve the right to invite a different shortlisted participant to play the on-air game.

             vi.            Any shortlisted participant who plays the on-air game is referred to as “the contestant”.

            vii.            We will select 2 x participants to play each day based on their same location. These participants will work together to win the shared prize money of up to £1,000.

          viii.            The Magic Radio production team will choose five questions based on the participants’ local area.

             ix.             This local area question may be based on their town or city.

               x.            The participants will work together to answer each question correctly.

             xi.             To win the £1,000 shared prize fund between them they need to get 3 out of the 5 questions correct.

            xii.            The on-air game will continue until all five questions have been asked in the set time limit.

 

 

2.2 HOW TO WIN

 

                i.            The 2 x contestants each day will be selected to work together to win a prize fund of £1,000.

               ii.            The contestants can only win the maximum daily cash prize of £1,000 if they guess 3 out of the 5 questions correctly. All 5 questions will be asked so if they get one wrong they still have the chance to answer all 5.

             iii.            If the contestants get 2 or less questions correct, they will not win any cash prize.

             iv.            All prize money is shared equally between the two participants regardless of who got the questions correct.

               v.            Any final decisions rest with the Magic Radio production team.

 

3.       ENTRY PERIOD

 

                i.            Pre-registration for the on-air competition is open between Wednesday 12th August at 00:01am and Wednesday 19th August at 23:59pm.

               ii.            The on-air competition will be broadcast every day from Monday 17 August 2020 until Friday 21 August 2020 during the Breakfast Show, between the hours of 0600 (6am) and 1000 (10am).

 

4.       ENTRY RESTRICTIONS
