Disciplinary Hearing

I have found out today, one senior figure and the person responsible for making payment have also been invited to a meeting.

No idea if theres is a disciplinary meeting or not, but perhaps we will all be held responsible.

I agree, that I am best just going in there and giving my true version of events, due to my length of service. I will however state that due to COVID and poor staffing levels we were under alot more pressure to get our task completed and completed efficiently which probably didnt help when noticing mistakes in the emails.

Yeah I wouldn’t say you were stressed due to staff shortages it sounds like an excuse. 

At the end of the day you received an invoice from the correct email address, and followed the correct company process and passed it on for payment.  The fact that the owner of the email address was hacked isn’t really your problem.

Sounds weak. Leave it out and focus on facts not excuses.
