If a lot of people drop out as they are buying flats then I imagine it will be easier to book1

We completed two weeks ago - and got our mortgage offer in early march. 90% LTV.
I was furloughed and now on part time furlough - we have been insanely lucky that we just managed to squeeze it in before lenders started pulling products and changing criteria. Nail biting up to completion day!
