Can one put down their disabilities and ask the employer to interview them under ' Disability Confident'?

You will still require to meet the minimum person criteria, that may include but not limited to, knowledge, skills & experience, as well as qualifications.
Meet the above and you may be interviewed under the scheme.
I remember trade union concerns some years ago with some employers informing compliance with the scheme when they were anything but, this was to attain accreditation.1
