Utility account changes

I found out that our gas account wasn’t on my credit file because it was added to my credit file (unbeknownst to me!) the same week we got a mortgage offer. It’s dated as opening when I requested it (Feb) but added in July. I THINK it was done day before the last credit check was done on Experian but my equifax score has plummeted since it was added and everyone warns not to get new credit.
I’m assuming it will be okay as it was backdated and no adverse credit as a result (British gas just didn’t add it when we transferred to them in feb) plus I’m not requesting anything new ie a loan etc. But just would feel better knowing it’s nothing to worry about

Your credit score / rating is not seen or used by any lender, it's the credit history they see and use when assessing applications.
Highly doubtful a utility company showing on your credit reports would make a difference, it's financial obligations eg loans / credit cards, car lease etc which would be a major concern to your lender.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
That’s what I thought but feels better having reassurance. Thank you1
