Sainsburys credit card

Hi I have an old Sainsburys credit card debt for around 7k but paying Wescot £15 per month. The default went on 3/4 years ago. What’s the best thing to do to get rid of this debt? Would they take a full & final offer? Has anyone had one accepted? Or do I have to start upping my payments to pay the full lot off? Not sure what to do. Any advice would be grateful.

No I haven’t approached them yet as I wanted to ask advice on here first. I could possibly pay half of the debt at a push but I don’t want to offer that much if they take less. It’s been defaulted for over 3 years.0

Remember, wescot don’t buy debts, they will just be managing it for Sainsbury’s bank.
Have you asked for CCA yet ?That should be a precursor to any settlement offer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Yes we have asked for CCA & they have the paperwork so it is enforceable.0
