Should I transfer my LGP to Teachers Pension?

I have a Local Government Pension (since 2001, age 23), but I haven't contributed to it since last year, as my contract with the same company changed to a teacher's contract.
So I have a Local Government Pension and a Teachers Pension (also have 2 other teaching jobs with money currently going into it).
I have no idea how much is there, wouldn't know where to start!
Is it worth me keeping the Local Government one, or transferring it to Teachers Pensions, OR somewhere else (wherever that might be).
I have to admit I don't know anything about pensions, and didn't really understand the articles on this site- Think I'll have to wait for a day when I have a bit more time to read up on it...and my brain is working properly.
All I know is that I had to start putting money away!
I'm also part self employed, and I haven't started a pension for that, as I have the two others.
