Financial Support for "mature" apprentice with kids

Hi everyone,
My job security is under threat and i've been looking for suitable roles in the industry and i've found an apprenticeship that looks like the perfect role/career for me.
Thing is, its a salary of just £16.5k and we've got a baby boy with nursery fees and another baby on the way next year.
Is there any financial support available for parents on apprenticeships? (Partner is also working Part time).
Any advice welcome...
Thanks.

Will stay off my high horse for now... some companies offer childcare vouchers as a perk of flexible benefits... by no means free but at least you pay for them out of your gross salary so make a tax saving, just check your nursery accepts them.
Outside of that normal means tested benefits, if you are claiming Universal Credit and doing more than 30 hours a week at the apprenticeship there will be no requirement to look for further employed work.1 -
Thanks, we already get tax free childcare, which is helpful!0

There's no 'special' state support for parents on apprenticeships. You are entitled to the same benefits you might be able to claim if you were simply in a low(ish) paid job.
Have a look at https://www.turn2us.org.uk, in particular the section on grants: https://grants-search.turn2us.org.uk in case you would qualify for any of those on offer.1
