L&G Pension Funds

I've just got buying a house out of the way and now looking to take a more active role in my pension and a S&S ISA.. when searching for better performing L&G funds with more risk on HL etc I'm unable to find them when I look to change my investment within my account.. I'm only given a list of 132 funds to choose from. Do I need to change my risk level in my account  for them to show up or are there only certain funds I can invest in within the pension?

    L&G unit trust managers are different to L&G life and pensions.   There are some overlaps where L&G life and pensions use L&G UT managers but the funds in the pension are not the same.

    Most workplace pensions limit the fund selection as the employer wants to keep things simple.   SIPPs are whole of market.  Your employer scheme is not.  You need to make your selection from the 132.  And that number should give you more than sufficient choice.

    Some pensions , especially the newer auto enrolment ones , only have a handful of choices.

    More traditional personal/workplace pensions usually have approx. . couple of hundred choices . For >90% of people in the scheme that is 199 more than they need or ever use.
