NatWest additional borrowing

We are approaching the end of our fixed term and considering asking for a revaluation so that we will (hopefully) improve ltv and access better rates. We would also like to apply for a further advance at some stage, if the figures add up (may not be the best time now as lending potentially tighter).

I wonder if anyone knows the actual cost of NatWest revaluation for house value approx £190-200k? Would we have opportunity to put forward any info for them to consider? (Such as recent sold prices, estimates from other indexes etc) Their indexed valuation is currently quite a bit lower than others I have looked at although I know this doesn’t mean they are more accurate.  Is there a valuation tool generally seen as better than others?

Also, I am aware that further borrowing can be applied for at the same time as switching product. If either the figures aren’t right for us to apply at that stage, or if we were declined, can anyone tell me whether we can apply for an advance whilst in our next fixed rate period? Or only at the point of switching? I am wondering whether we will have to consider staying on svr until we can go ahead with a further advance? Rather than wait til the end of our next fixed period...
