OAP's Party Bags

Hi everyone,
Have had such fun reading all your posts that I decided to join you.
I run a group for OAP's to meet and chat, and we are having a Christmas lunch next week and I usually give them a little party bag to take home but this year i have run out of inspiration of what to put in then, I have already done hankies (male and female) last year and usually put in a few choc's a mince pie etc. We have limited funds as we are self financing, I look forward to hearing your suggestions.

How about some nice smellies for the ladies - you could get some of the smaller sets from somewhere like wilkinsons and split them up - in that vein Green and Blacks are doing a selection of mini bars which I've split up between my friends hampers! For the men perhaps you could get some little puzzles, that sort of thing?
Good luck

You could add pens and writing paper or note cards. You could print off some crosswords or puzzles from the net if you need to add extra things. Sometimes you can also pick up some little sachets of face cream and perfume samples as freebies. Individual hot chocolate sachets might be nice to include too.:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0

You could include some nice smelling soaps, these are cheap enough.March 2006 £15,200+ in debt April £843.64 in debt - Debt Free date Sept 2009
Egg Credit Card - £843.64 5.7%0 -

Hi MonaLisa
Welcome to MSE
I'd be really tempted to buy some traditional childrens games/puzzles. Something lighthearted and fun.
I bet they get enough smellies from relatives who dont know what else to buy.
Have you got a Hawkins Bazar store near you? They do some great little things for £1 that would be just the right size for a party bag.
It might brighten up the whole party

Dont forget the bargains available at supermarkets too.
I'm doing an xmas meal for 42 oldies, on xmas eve and wanted a little pressie for the table. Morrisons were doing after eights £2.39 buy one get one free,so it worked out at just over £1 each...sorted:D

I think Iceland were doing twilights on bogof for around £1.80 too. 90p each not bad:D0
