Incoming funds

Afternoon,

I have just had my mortgage offer approved by Halifax. I have the deposit ready and proof has been shown for this. My father plans to pay my solicitor and first home funds fees for me. 
My question is will there be any issue in him transferring me these funds before exchange? I cant personally see the issue but i know Halifax will probably do another credit check or such before releasing the funds. Does it look strange me receiving extra money? 

Any advice would be great.

Could he not pay your solicitor directly? If not, no, it won't be an issue. The credit check will just be for any bankruptcy or change in employment. They will have no idea what has or hasn't been paid into your account.

I woudl suggest what winds of change has, father pays solicitor directly. Check what solicitor wants, may be nothing may be full AML BS.

Yeah will probably just go down that route. Good to know anyway re gifted money not being an issue as other family helping with money for furniture etc so will be getting funds over the coming month for such items.
