State Pension - NHS Contracting Out

You need to look at your forecast and NI record and check the final year of working to see if it was a full year and how much it will cost to fill if not, it could be a very cheap £5 on your pension !

To add to molerat's post - "Basic" SP refers to the pre 2016 level of pension without any SERPs. So if you had worked or credited with NI years for 30 years prior to 2016 you would be entitled to the full Basic SP. Contracting out could not reduce this.
The Full or Standard SP refers to the SP under post 2016 rules whereby SERPs was integrated into a single pension scheme. You did not earn any (or much) SERPs pre-2016 and so the Standard rate for you was reduced by COPE which should equal the SERPs you did not pay for.
As said before you can make up this difference by post 2016 NI years.0 -
It looks like another 5 years are needed to make up to the full amount so around £4K, well worth the cost but plenty of time to do it and no real penalty as the cost only increases by inflation. Do you look after grandchildren whilst the parent is at work - a nice little NI credit earner !
