Mortgage approved subject to valuation HSBC

hi all, I’ve just come off a Zoom call with a HSBC Mortgage advisor who has approved our mortgage subject to valuation. I am over the moon as we were very nervous and didn’t use a broker. But does this mean that if everything is okay in regards to the valuation we will receive our mortgage offer? I did ask the advisor and she just said subject to valuation.

Your circumstances are obviously very straight forward and your requested loan amount is obviously well within your affordability.0

I think it must have been the case because they didn’t ask for any bank statements and only 1 payslip. I just hope that once the valuation is done we get a mortgage offerProcess90 said:Your circumstances are obviously very straight forward and your requested loan amount is obviously well within your affordability.0 -
We were same except not direct. The morning after our valuation we got text and email confirming offer. Very quick to inform us as were approved and house was fine.1

We didn't have this but our buyers did. FTB 90% deal took weeks to get through using a broker but then they were approved subject to valuation immediately on the Monday, valuation booked for the Wednesday and fully approval and valuation at asking by the Thursday. They seem very quick for simple cases once in.1

Ahh glad it went well, looking positive! I managed to get mine moved forward to the 21st Aug bit of a wait but it'll do!1

I was the same with HSBC - Zoom call on the Monday and accepted to valuation, Wednesday I heard from the estate agents that HSBC had been in touch to ask for the vendors contact details and by Saturday my Solicitor received the mortgage offer. It took weeks to get the Zoom appointment but once in the process I was amazed how quickly it moved.1

We had a phone call from the estate agent an hour after zoom call to say HSBC had phoned them to arrange a valuation next Tuesday, cannot believe how quick things have progressed. I’ve heard mostly horror stories on here about HSBC. But up to now all I can say about them is good...very impressed with them up to nowAnxiousFTB said:I was the same with HSBC - Zoom call on the Monday and accepted to valuation, Wednesday I heard from the estate agents that HSBC had been in touch to ask for the vendors contact details and by Saturday my Solicitor received the mortgage offer. Don't get me wrong the first few weeks were stressful - the website kept crashing, my first application corrupted and I spent hours on hold trying to telephone but once the zoom appointment was done it's been fine.0
