Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to post this, I keep thinking about buying a bicycle, and on Facebook spotted an advert for a company selling Trek bikes. Trek bikes are expensive but they are not on this website, it is an American website and they ship worldwide, surely the prices are too good to be true, I have looked on Google and done website checkers but still not 100% sure - https://bycs.bike-retailer.com/road-c-4/ This is the website.

The website & payment details look extremely doggy to me.

    Registration information:
Address is Lot 2-1, Incubator 1, Technology Park Malaysia, Bukit Jalil Kuala Lumpur.
Owner is down as Whoisprotection.cc whose website says "WhoisProtection.cc is a whois privacy service which help to shield domain registrant actual information from being see publicly."
Would I give them my bank or credit card details?  Not in a million years!!
  • Thanks for the replies, I will avoid at all costs!
  • I've seen a lot of this type of ad pop up on Facebook, for Bikes, Lego, football kits etc (it must pick up your interests from Facebook somehow) then it targets you with very cut price goods that appear real but you can clearly see from people being ripped off in the comments that they're not. If you're going to buy a Trek, go to a dealer like Wheelbase, Evans or Rutland etc.
