When you say 'transfer', what exactly do you mean? You can only transfer funds from one pension scheme to another.

If you are aged at least 55 you could withdraw funds from your pension and use those to pay down your mortgage, or if you are receiving regular payments from a pension scheme you could use those to pay down your mortgage. A benefits specialist such as http://turn2us.org.uk would be able to advise on whether this would impact on your ESA (or other benefits, if any).

Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
