Can an unemployed persons name go on Mortgage and Deeds?

Hello - I am new to the forum and this is my very first post.  I do hope you are able to help.
My daughter and her partner are planning to purchase their first home together.  They are first time buyers.  He has got a mortgage in principle based just on his salary.
My daughter is unemployed at the moment, although she had been accepted as a police officer and will start her employment in a couple of months.  Can my daughters name go on both the mortgage and the deeds even though she is unemployed at the moment?
Many thanks.

  • Yes. Not a problem.   Loads of family's up and down the country have single income households but still have joint ownership of property
