Iceland Bonus Card double rate for August

As most will know Iceland pay £1 for every £20 saved on their Bonus Card and you can pay the money in online before you go shopping effectively giving you 5% off your Iceland shopping.
I don't know if this applies to everyone or just selected customers but I've just had an e-mail informing me that during the month of August, Iceland will be paying £2 for every £20 saved on the Bonus Card although you will only have until 30th of September to spend the extra bonus before they'll remove it from your card.

Hurrah! I have only just finished using up the £800 I put on my card when they did this last year. It is worth adding any amount that you are sure to spend in the next year or so if you can afford it. I used an interest free credit card last time so it was no-brainer as a regular Iceland shopper.
Worth noting that the extra bonus gets spent first, so as long as you do one shop covering your bonus you'll be fine.
Eg - top up £200 now, get £10 regular bonus generally about 4 minutes after topping up if you do it online. Balance £210. £10 extra bonus added by 4 September, balance now £220 including £10 promotional bonus. Do one £35 shop online (or instore if you prefer) pay using bonus card, balance on card now £185 having spent all bonus balances. No rush to spend the rest.

Also, 1% cashback on Quidco is back (it was withdrawn shortly after lockdown). Bonus card topups don't get cashback but shopping orders when paying by bonus card do.0
