Defaults on my Credit File with Small Monthly Payments to DCA

Options
Hi
I have 5-6 defaults on my credit file.I was not able to make on-time payments due to some unforeseen circumstances and defaulted.I  understand that defaults will stay on my file for 6 years.I was getting letters and phone calls so I have contacted  Debt Collection Agencies and arranged  small  monthly repayments for all the outstanding debts.
After my default is removed will i still need to pay DCA the agreed payment ? will it still show on my file that i am paying to DCA (once default removed).
if i stop making payments after default is removed  then can the DCA  still apply for a CCJ against me ?

Please advice

Yes your debt remains enforcable regardless of its credit file status.
As long as the DCA can prove they can legally ask you to pay by provision of a copy of a regulated credit agreement, then you should maintain payments yes.

Once the defaults gone off your file there account will no longer show. So the DCA agreement won’t show on there no
  • I really appreciate your help.Sorry to bother you again. In first comment you mentioned that the DCA can enforce the debt regardless of credit file status. In case i cant not continue my payment agreement with DCA then what  will happen next ? will they go to court and obtain CCJ ? if yes then CCJ will show on my file?

Does the collector own the debt ? Lots of collectors just act on behalf of their client, some own the debt outright, they way to tell is sometimes by the name of the company, Lowell for example are big debt buyers, wear as Moorcroft just manage client accounts, or see how they refer to things in their letters, if a debt is sold, you should be informed in writing.
Its anyones guess how they will respond in such circumstances, 50/50 either way.
