    Just wondering how things are going for you.
    Actually a lot better, I've managed to work some extra over time so can afford to pay some smaller debts off at the end of the month. I've taken a week off work to use my holidays and I feel 10x better for it :)

    Whatever you do don’t trash your credit file - it may seem like an easy way out at the moment but here is my experience;

    About 5k of debt that I defaulted on, went to buy a house a few years later and over the course of my 2 year fixed rate mortgage (subprime mortgage due to my credit history) I ended up paying £16,000 extra interest than I would with a high street bank. Those defaults didn’t just cost me £5k - they cost me £21,000.
    Wow some great advice there! I'll be looking at buying a house within a few years with my OH. So definitely don't want to end up paying the extra because of my own silly mistakes! Thank you 😁

    When you said your OH would be paying half the rent, I thought your half was £300, hence saying the CT is a lot.
    If the property total rent is £300 then the CT you are paying is rediculous. Is there an outstanding CT debt?

    Can you comment on the other questions I asked?
    Sorry haven't checked this in a while. I'll reply to your previous questions when I can get onto my laptop.

    Great news about the extra work, just make that extra cash work hard for you and bash down those debts! Glad you feel better after your break.
