Mortgage appointment HSBC

hi all, I’ve got a Zoom appointment with HSBC on Tuesday 4th August but my wife can’t get the time off work. Can I still proceed with the appointment without her being there or do I need to reschedule. I would ring and ask them but I don’t fancy being on hold for 40/60 mins just to ask that question.

I was told we didn't both need to be there, only one of us with the express consent of the other... not too sure how they would have proved I had consent but do remember them saying they could do the application with only one of us.1

Yeah, we had phone appointment and as long as you have consent you can do on your own, just make sure you know every detail when they ask about any expenses, salary etc of course.1

Thanks for the reply guys, I kind of remember the guy saying to me on the phone that as long as main applicant is there it doesn’t matter but wasn’t sure if I just made it up in my own head lol.
i don’t know how they can prove consent though 🤷🏼♂️
