Can I get a mortgage with my husband as a stay at home mum?

My husband are looking to buy at the end of this year, early next year. Due to having lived in Australia for a couple of years and my husband being self employed, we have to wait until then to apply. I am now a stay at home mum with a 10 month old and another on the way, due March 2021. I’m wondering if we can still get a joint mortgage even though I don’t work? We both have first time buyer ISA’s and my husband has quite a good income. Can anyone help me?
Thank you in advance.

Short answer - Yes.
It will be done on your combined income and affordability. So essentially only off your husbands income and any expenses you both have, like loan repayments, car, finance etc.2 -
And just to add. As your husband is self-employed I'd recommend finding a good broker as some lenders will loan you a lot less if somebody is self-employed.1
