morrisons price hikes
Morrisons have changed thier website recently and have massively hiked prices.
Now when you login certain items are either not available at all or no longer
Now when you login certain items are either not available at all or no longer
available to online shoppers. This is bad news for people who have paid for
a delivery pass and for people isolating who dont have the option of buying
instore so check the prices before putting it in the basket.
savers mayonaise @ £0.41 - not available at all
cheapest mayonaise @ £1.00 = 143% increase
cheapest beef mince @ £3.20/kilo instore - no longer available online
cheapest beef mince online @ £4.00 / kilo = 25% increase
cheapest bacon @ £4.00 / kilo instore - no longer available online
cheapest bacon online @ £4.60 / kilo = 15% increase
Profiteering from a pandemic, why am I suprised.

How do you know they are profiteering? There are additional costs on a lot of things at the moment so their costs have probably increased.
Also many manufacturers to meet the demand on certain items stopped producing somethings, so it is likely the value mayonnaise was stopped to concentrate on production of the regular brand.
something like the bacon and mince sound a bit too cheap to me, although I generally avoid the low quality value stuff as it isn't normally very good.

Hasn't it always been the same with Morrisons, lots of saver brand items are not listed online.
Also if you check in-store many own brand items are not currently available.1 -
As @blueskinnedbeast -- the Savers range is thin to non-existent for online shopping, this was long before co-vid. And Morrisons are not back to full shelf-capacity, at least in my local store, for Savers and own-branded items.
Do a pass through ALDI and see what you can spot there -- I started doing that last year when Morrisons started dropping items I wanted to buy

No wonder online prices gave gone up when it costs them around £10 plus to deliver each order.
